List of Clean Foods to Restock Your Kitchen

Ready to start stocking your pantry and fridge with clean, healthy whole foods? Here is your starter list of foods for your Pantry, Refrigerator and Freezer to start eating clean and healthy! Remember, always check labels, the fewer the ingredients the better. Try to buy organic as much as you can. Stay away from enriched or fortified foods, foods with added sugars, foods (check your dairy) with added carrageenan.
Pantry
Whole grains: Quinoa, brown rice, oats, whole wheat pasta, whole grain bread (not enriched).
Legumes: Lentils, chickpeas, black beans, kidney beans.
Nuts and seeds: Almonds, walnuts, chia seeds, flaxseeds, pumpkin seeds.
Nut and seed butters: Almond butter, peanut butter, tahini.
Canned goods: Tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, coconut milk (check for no added sugars or preservatives).
Healthy oils: Extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil, avocado oil.
Herbs and spices: Cinnamon, garlic, turmeric, cumin, oregano, basil, black pepper, sea salt.
Natural sweeteners: Honey, maple syrup, stevia.
Whole wheat flour: (not enriched)
Condiments: Mustard, apple cider vinegar, balsamic vinegar, tamari or soy sauce (low sodium), hot sauce (without added sugars).
Refrigerator
Fresh fruits: Berries, apples, oranges, bananas, grapes, lemons, limes.
Fresh vegetables: Leafy greens (spinach, kale), broccoli, carrots, bell peppers, cucumbers, mushrooms, zucchini, garlic, tomatoes.
Lean proteins: Skinless chicken breast, turkey breast, eggs, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese.
Plant-based proteins: Tofu, tempeh, seitan.
Dairy alternatives: Almond milk, oat milk.
Fresh herbs: Parsley, cilantro, basil, mint.
Natural condiments: Dijon mustard, salsa, pesto (without added sugars or preservatives).
Freezer
Frozen fruits: Blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, mango chunks.
Frozen vegetables: Peas, corn, spinach, mixed vegetables.
Lean proteins: Salmon fillets, shrimp, chicken breasts, ground turkey.
Whole grain products: Whole wheat, unriched bread, tortillas.
Nuts and seeds: Store in the freezer to maintain freshness.
